Migration Checklist ​

Use this checklist before moving a workload to Mincemeat or asking the services team to help plan the move.

Inventory ​

• Current runtime, operating system, database, storage, domains, certificates, and external dependencies.
• Access requirements for administrators, operators, developers, and service accounts.
• Current backup cadence, retention, and known restore procedure.
• Existing deployment process, rollback path, and release history.

Validate ​

• Confirm the target platform surface: Cloud Instances, Static Sites, managed hosting, or a service-led migration.
• Define DNS and certificate cutover steps.
• Identify content freeze windows, cache clearing, and validation checks.
• Test rollback before the final cutover.

Handoff ​

• Document owners, emergency access, monitoring, backup verification, and routine maintenance.
• Keep the migration notes close to the production runbook so the next incident does not require archaeology.
